As our beloved Holy Father Pope Leo XIV undergoes surgery today, I pray for his health and in gratitude for his continuing prophetic witness to the redeeming love of Jesus Christ and the “magnificent humanity” of every person.
[UPDATE: The surgically removed lung "nodule" tested positive for cancer (as doctors expected in light of prior tests). This establishes the diagnosis of adenocarcinoma, but its prompt and thorough removal indicates an "excellent" prognosis for a full recovery. Plans for possible further treatment are not as yet known. Let's keep praying!]
