King Papa!

There’s no need to add much in the way of explanation to this picture. When the grandchildren are around, Nana and Papa have a rollicking good time. Maria is now five years old and she is very bright. She’s also creative, imaginative, funny, and sometimes even goofy. And so she has crowned me “King Papa” with the cloth crown they all play with, which doesn’t fit me very well. I’m always ready to be silly with the grandkids, although Maria is also in the early stages of being capable of more reflective conversations too. I’m looking forward to those days in the future (God willing). In any case, it is good to be part of their growing-up. When they go home, of course, we’re pretty tired. It’s a “happy” tired. I’m happy to be “King Papa”!
