Mary Queen and Mother

“You shall be a glorious crown in the hand of the Lord, / a royal diadem held by your God” (Isaiah 62:3).

August 22: Feast of the Queenship of Mary. It is the "glorious mystery" of the exaltation of the incomparable maternal love of the Woman who bore Christ in her womb, that maternal love that reaches out to each of us who are called to be God's children, brothers and sisters of her Son, her children.

The Blessed Virgin Mary, lowly servant, heavenly Queen, Mother of the Lord, our Mother. Salve Regina!
